Florence can be easily reached:
By plane
You can get to Florence via two airports.
The Florence Airport (Amerigo Vespucci) is just 5 km northwest of the city center. The T2 tram line connects the Arrivals side of the airport to the city center.
The Pisa Airport (Galileo Galilei) is about 80 km from Florence. The easiest way to reach Florence by Galilei Airport is by train (Trenitalia) and by bus (Caronna Tour or Autostradale).
By train
Florence is a key node on the Italian railway network. High-speed trains (Frecciarossa, Frecciargento and Italo) connect Florence with the most important Italian cities. In Florence there are three main railway stations: Santa Maria Novella, Campo di Marte, Firenze Rifredi. Most of high-speed trains arrive to Santa Maria Novella station.
See Trenitalia’s website and ITALO’s website for time schedule and prices.
By car
Take the A1 highway, and use the Florence exits.
By bus
Thanks to some private bus companies, such as Flixbus, you can reach Florence by bus from all over Italy (and Europe).
