{"id":5547,"date":"2023-05-19T11:14:02","date_gmt":"2023-05-19T09:14:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/datascience.unifi.it\/?p=5547"},"modified":"2025-11-27T17:13:01","modified_gmt":"2025-11-27T16:13:01","slug":"call-for-phd-programmes-xxxix-cycle-university-of-florence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/datascience.unifi.it\/index.php\/2023\/05\/19\/call-for-phd-programmes-xxxix-cycle-university-of-florence\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for PhD programmes &#8211; XXXIX cycle &#8211; University of Florence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Florence Center for Data Science is glad to announce the openings of the call for XXXIX cycle PhD Programmes at the University of Florence.<\/p>\n<p>In the academic year 2023\/24 the University of Florence is the headquarter of 26 Ph.D programmes in many areas: Biomedical, Sciences, Social Sciences, Technology, Humanities, and doctoral programmes with the head office at other Universities: 15 Ph.D programmes of national interest and 11 Ph.D programmes in consortium or agreement.<\/p>\n<p>Among the Ph.D. programmes headquartered at the University of Florence there is the <strong>PhD programme in<\/strong> <strong>Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics\u00a0<\/strong>(<a title=\"fact sheet - pdf\" href=\"https:\/\/www.unifi.it\/upload\/sub\/dottorati\/39\/8_matematica_eng.pdf\">fact sheet<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The PhD program in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics is a three-year multidisciplinary program within a partnership comprising the University of Florence, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipg.it\/\">University of Perugia<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.altamatematica.it\/\">Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica \u201cF. Severi\u201d<\/a>, with an internationally faculty and a worldwide network of partner institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates would have the possibility to choose among three curricula:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Statistics<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Mathematics<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Computer Science<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Moreover there are specific research topics scholarships position available:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thematic: \u201cRethinking Data Science\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Thematic: \u201cBiostatistics for Observational Research and Casual Inference\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For further information visit the official <a title=\"sito web\" href=\"https:\/\/www.phdmatinfstat.unifi.it\/\">website<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.disia.unifi.it\/vp-360-phd.html\">website<\/a> of the Department of Statistics, Computer Science, Application &#8220;G.
