Biophotonics & Artificial Intelligence School

The Florence Center for Data Science is happy to announce you the opening of the first School on Biophotonics and Artificial Intelligence, in Florence from 5th to 9th of September 2022.

News! The deadline for enrollment has been extended until Friday 15th July 2022.

Biophotonics has applications ranging from chemical, biological and microorganism detection to biomedical imaging, generating highly complex information data. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a disruptive technology, with applications that pervade every field of knowledge.

Machine learning, Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning are in fact able not only to find hidden patterns in complex data, but also to inspire new theoretical and experimental interpretations.

The School has the aim of exploring the intersection between these two disciplines, creating a training path for the development of applications of AI in the field of Biophotonics.

The school is organized by SchAI, the School on Artificial Intelligence in Health for people Well-Being, SIOF, the Italian community of Optics and Photonics, Italian branch of the European Optical Society and IFAC, the  “Nello Carrara” Institute of Applied Physics, part of the CNR National Research Council. The School is also sponsored by PhotonHub Europe, the Pan-European photonics digital innovation hub and MDPI, the Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute.

The Florence Center for Data Science is a partner of the School and invites you to check on the official website of the school to gain all the informations about program, events and enrollment fee.

Please note that all courses will be held in Italian.
