The Florence Center for Data Science is happy to invite you to the ODS2022 – International Conference on Optimization and Decision Science 2022.
The International Conference on Optimization and Decision Science is organized by AIRO, the Italian Operations Research Society, within DINFO (Dept. of Information Engineering, University of Florence).The Conference theme is open in the fields of operations research, optimization, problem solving and decision making, and their applications. A special focus will be on the theme “Operations Research: inclusion and equity”. Conference chair would be professor Paola Cappanera and professor Fabio Schoen from DINFO.
The Conference is organised into plenary and parallel sessions, would host more than 250 speakers and four keynote speakers: Prof. Anna Nagurney, from University of Massachusetts Amherst, she will give a keynote entitled “Labor and Supply Chain Networks: It’s All About People”; Prof. Dimitris Bertsimas, from MIT, will give a speach on “HAIM: Holistic AI for Medicine”; Prof. Dick den Hertog, from University of Amsterdam, will talk about “Analytics for a Better World”; Prof. Maria Paola Scaparra, from University of Kent , will conclude the keynote speaches with “Leveraging OR to build more sustainable, resilient, and equitable communities in Southeast Asia”.
ODS2022 would take place from 30th August to 2nd September 2022 at Centro Didattico Morgagni, Viale Giovanni Battista Morgagni, 40, 50134 Firenze FI. The keynote speech on August 30th will be given at Salone Brunelleschi, Museo degli Innocenti, Piazza della Santissima Annunziata, 13, 50122 Firenze FI.
Regsitration will open Tuesday August 30th at 11:30 and will remain open throughout the Conference. For those who would not be able to attend in person, Springer has activated a special web page based on the Cassyni platform to host the 4 plenary keynote speeches (free registration).
ODS2022 is made possible also thanks to the financial support of the many companies and organizations. During the event the Committee of ODS2022, in collaboration with Verizon Connect Italy, would offer a grant to two young female researchers, and a prize to the best PhD dissertation, offered by AIROyoung.
