The Florence center for Data Science is glad to announce the opening of call for application for TWO research fellow position at the Population and Society Unit – Department of Statistics, Computer Science, Applications, University of Florence.

1) Family dynamics under conditions of uncertainty
Topic:

The Research Fellow will address the triangular relation between labour market changes, uncertainty, and family life courses. The project will utilize novel data (integration between administrative data and survey data as well as experimental data) and advanced statistical methods (methods for longitudinal data analyses and causal inference).

Candidates:

We look for candidates holding a PhD, with expertise in the analysis of longitudinal data and a good background knowledge on labor market and family-related behaviors.

Duration:

1 year, with possibility of extension for other two years

Salary:

About 1,800 Euros net per month
2) Family dynamics, health and exposure to risky behaviours
 
Topic:
The Research Fellow will address the association – and, under certain circumstances, causation – between family structure, adults’ physical and mental health, and youth’s risky behaviours using both secondary data and primary data that will be collected on the topic.Candidates:

We look for candidates with experience of statistical analysis of survey data, and background knowledge of the interlinkages between socio-economic, health- and family-related behaviours.

Duration:
1 year, with possibility of extension for other two years

Salary:
About 1,500 Euros net per month
