Call for PhD programmes – XXXIX cycle – University of Florence

The Florence Center for Data Science is glad to announce the openings of the call for XXXIX cycle PhD Programmes at the University of Florence.

In the academic year 2023/24 the University of Florence is the headquarter of 26 Ph.D programmes in many areas: Biomedical, Sciences, Social Sciences, Technology, Humanities, and doctoral programmes with the head office at other Universities: 15 Ph.D programmes of national interest and 11 Ph.D programmes in consortium or agreement.

Among the Ph.D. programmes headquartered at the University of Florence there is the PhD programme in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics (fact sheet).

The PhD program in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics is a three-year multidisciplinary program within a partnership comprising the University of Florence, the University of Perugia and the Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica “F. Severi”, with an internationally faculty and a worldwide network of partner institutions.

Candidates would have the possibility to choose among three curricula:

  • Statistics
  • Mathematics
  • Computer Science

Moreover there are specific research topics scholarships position available:

  • Thematic: “Rethinking Data Science”
  • Thematic: “Biostatistics for Observational Research and Casual Inference”
