Open Call for a Full Time Professor of Statistics at the University of Florence

The Department of Statistics, Computer Science, Applications’ G. Parenti of the University of Florence seeks:

a Professor (permanent position, PA) in Statistics (SECS-S/01).

The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the development of the Department under the programme “Dipartimento di Eccellenza“ and also to the Department’s academic teaching activities (with a teaching load of 120 hrs per year), its strategy and governance, as well as providing scientific leadership and participating in international and national grant applications.

Candidates applying for a professorship must have obtained the Italian national habilitation (ASN) for Associate Professor (http://abilitazione.miur.it/public/index.php for applications) or must have been holding for at least three years of an equivalent academic position abroad.

National standards fix salary and start at 52.000 EUR (gross).
Taxes reduction may apply for five or more years according to the Italian rules for candidates from abroad.
